On this day in 2013, Front Royal’s Jordan DeLorenzo threw a complete game shutout against the Rockbridge Rapids- giving up 3 hits, 0 walks, and striking out 9. He earned a game score of 90, which is 15 points higher than the best start from 2018 so far.
Jordan went on to be ATVL’s #2 starting pitcher that year, and was drafted in the 12th round the next June. He pitched in 40 minor league games through 2016, had some serious arm trouble in 2017, and was released at the end of that year.
