Pitcher of the Day
Not only is Waynesboro’s Tyler Bielamowicz the pitcher of the day, he’s had the game of the year so far by a pretty wide margin. Tyler threw a complete game no-hitter last night against Front Royal, allowing only 1 walk, and striking out 15. 15!! He was one strike away from a perfect game, but had to “settle” for a game score of exactly 100. (The previous high was 78.)What an amazing game! Tyler, from Houston, is now 1-2, 3.07 in 26 1/3 innings pitched, along with 35 strikeouts this summer. Tyler appeared in 9 games at Houston as a pitcher this spring, but also 44 as an outfielder.

Tonight’s Games
The big one, of course, is the opening game in the Prospect Showcase, when the Valley League will take on the Florda League at 7 PM in North Carolina. There are also three games on the VBL slate:
- Covington at Front Royal
- Winchester at Charlottesville
- Strasburg at Waynesboro
What, if any affiliation are the teams in the league associated with?
Hi Tom- the Valley League is a collegiate league, so while a couple players might be under a major league team’s control, the league does not have an affiliation with any major league team. -ATVL
