Hitter of the Day
This is crazy, but for the second day in a row and 5th time overall, our HOD is Staunton’s Trey Jacobs, from UNC Pembroke. Trey went 2-5, with a run, 2 RBIs, double, and home run. He’s now hitting 386/416/661 in 127 at-bats this summer, with 11 doubles, 8 home runs, and 32 RBIs. Trey has clearly demonstrated that he is one of the top hitters in the Valley League.

Our POD is Strasburg’s Josh Wilson, from Florida A&M. Josh turned in the best start of the night, throwing 5 innings and allowing 4 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks, and striking out 2. He earned the win as well. Josh is now 1-2, 6.75, with 12 K’s in 24 innings pitched.
