Aron Solis Texas Southern 2018Our 11th best reliever, Texas Southern’s Aron Solis, made the change from the starting rotation in the spring to the bullpen for Waynesboro this summer, and obviously excelled in the role. (Well both roles, really!)

Among pitchers on this list, Aron finished 2nd in ERA, 10th in BB/9, and 6th in K/9. His 5/24 BB/K ratio is very good, especially in only 15 1/3 innings. His best outing was against Strasburg on July 16th, when he struck out 7 batters in 3 shutout innings.

Aron spent 2016 and 2017 at Wharton County JC, and transferred to Texas Southern in 2018. He was quite impressive for the Tigers last spring, and was named the SWAC Pitcher of the Year, and All-Conference 1st team.

Congrats, Aron, and good luck in your senior year!
