The 4th best reliever in the 2018 Valley League season is Purcellville’s Dalton Oates, from Shippensburg!
The 6-foot-2 lefty was dominating out of the pen for the Cannons:

Among pitchers on this list, he finished 3rd in ERA, 2nd in innings pitched, tied for 7th in BB/9, and tied for 8th in K/9. He did not allow an earned run in his first 21 2/3 innings, including the shutout inning he fired in the All-Star game. He turned in an amazing performance on July 27th against Covington, when he threw 5 2/3 shutout relief innings, allowing 5 hits, 0 walks, and struck out 7. Dalton got a mention or two for the ATVL top prospect list, and was named 2nd team All-Valley.
