Schultz, the 13th best hitter last summer in the VBL, is off to a 435/518/696 start over 46 at-bats, with 14 runs, 18 RBIs, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs, a ridiculous 7/1 BB/K ratio, and even 3 stolen bases. He either leads or is tied for his team’s lead in all three slash numbers, runs, hits, doubles, triples, home runs, and RBIs.
Ashcraft, named one of the top prospects in the league by Perfect Game and ATVL and the 8th best draft prospect in the league by Baseball America, has thrown 12 2/3 innings so far, and is 1-0, 1.42, with a 1.024 WHIP, 4.3 BB/9, and 12.0 K/9.
Schultz is a junior, and Ashcraft is a redshirt sophomore- I believe both will be eligible for the mlb draft this coming June. Hopefully they will continue to dominate!
