Top VBL Performers from Saturday, March 23

College baseball just rolls on, even while the rest of the country watches the NCAA tournament….

Hitter of the Day

Patrick McColl Harvard 2019 headshotCombining both halves of his doubleheader, the HOD is clearly Harvard’s Pat McColl (Charlottesville 2018). Pat went 3-5 in both games, for a total of 6-10, with 4 runs, 7 RBIs, 3 doubles, a home run, and a stolen base. Pat is now hitting an astonishing 516/524/968 in 62 at-bats, with 17 runs, 20 RBIs, 9 doubles, 2 triples, and 5 home runs. He leds the Crimson in runs, hits, doubles, triples, home runs, RBIs, all three slash lines, and even is tied for the lead in stolen bases. Whoa! (Pat was the 11th best hitter in the VBL in 2018.)
