In another transaction that happened a few months ago, the Seattle Mariners have released former Luray Wrangler Garrett Kennedy (2012).
Kennedy was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 14th round of the 2015 draft out of Miami. After three years in the Dodgers’ system, he was traded to the Mariners in March, 2018. Seattle let him go last October.
Kennedy, who reached Triple-A Tacoma in 2018, hit 214/307/341 in 784 total professional at-bats. In 2012 with the Wranglers, he hit 190/405/345 in 58 at-bats, with an interesting 20/20 BB/K ratio.
Good luck, Garrett!
