After much sweat and many tears (well, not literally, but metaphorically), All Things Valley League’s 2015 Valley League Annual will be released tomorrow, Friday, April 12! 154 pages, 52,000 words, it’s everything you might want to know about that summer in the Valley.

Here is an excerpt from the section on 2015 VBL players who have gone on to play organized ball, on page 136:

  • Michael Gigliotti: Gigliotti, after a dynamic sophomore year at Lipscomb, was showing up rather high on draft lists for 2017. He was strangely passive in his junior year, walking 51 times in 56 games played, and ended up with a 287/451/411 slash line in 202 at-bats. The Royals still drafted him in the 4th round, and Michael got off to a fantastic pro start in ’17, hitting 320/420/456 in 241 at- bats at two levels, with 13 doubles, 4 triples, 4 home runs, and a 40/41 BB/K ratio. Unfortunately, he ripped up his knee after only six games in 2018 at Lexington of the South Atlantic League and missed the remainder of the season. Michael hit 280/349/320 in 75 at-bats for Covington in the 2015 Valley League season.
