Spotlight on Jensen, Fernandez, and Pagan (And Others)

Tons of games were played on Saturday… in fact, more than usual, because many schools played doubleheaders in fear of bad weather today, Sunday.

Three guys were amazing yesterday, and many others were just merely “good.” So let’s take a look at everyone, shall we?

The Amazing Ones

  • Tulane’s Trevor Jensen (Winchester 2016) went 4-6 yesterday, with 3 runs, 6 RBIs, a double, and a home run. The senior is now hitting 356/420/563 in 160 at-bats, with 41 runs, 32 RBIs, 13 doubles, 1 triple, and 6 home runs. He leads the Green Wave in doubles.
  • Florida International’s Adan Fernandez (New Market 2018), fresh off a championship-winning home run in the Valley, went 4-5 yesterday, with 2 runs, 2 RBIs, and a triple. He’s now hitting 222/336/411 with 5 home runs this spring.
  • And last but not least, former Front Royal Cardinal Yamil Pagan (2016) has continued his torrid hitting for Alabama State. In a doubleheader, he went a combined 5-8, with 5 runs, 5 RBIs, a walk, home run, and hit-by-pitch. Yamil is now hitting a crazy 372/483/657 in 137 at-bats, with 50 runs, 38 RBIs, 3 doubles, 3 triples, 10 home runs, and a 27/27 BB/K ratio. He leads his team in all three slash lines, runs, home runs, and walks.
