Gil, Crain, and the Rest of the Crew

Let’s take a look at the best performances in D-I baseball by Valley League alumni yesterday!

  • Raymond Gil (Winchester 2018) went off for Miami against Wake Forest, finishing the game 5-5, with 3 runs, 2 doubles, and an RBI. The sophomore infielder is now hitting 339/423/592 in 174 at-bats this spring, with 32 runs, 14 doubles, 10 home runs, 37 RBIs, and a 24/56 BB/K ratio. He leads the Hurricanes in batting average and slugging percentage.
  • Longwood’s Eric Crain (Woodstock 2017) also had a big day, going 4-4, with 2 runs, a double, home run, walk, and 4 RBIs in game two of their doubleheader against Presbyterian. Eric is now hitting 238/297/369 in 84 at-bats, with 8 runs, 6 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run, 11 RBIs, and a 5/21 BB/K ratio.
