On May 1st, former Luray Wrangler Jacob Wilson (2009) was hitting 297/369/692 for Triple-A Fresno in Washington’s minor league system. Those numbers are fine. That strong OBP might even get one considered for a major league call-up in a pinch.
Well, in the eight games since the 1st, Wilson has gone 15-33 at the plate, with 7 runs, 2 home runs, 10 RBIs, and an excellent 7/8 BB/K ratio. His slashline now? He’s at 339/420/734.
Not a bad improvement for just seven games! Now let’s hear about the callup….
