We tend to celebrate milestones and records around here, even if a former Valley Leaguer sets “only” one record.

How about four?

Former Front Royal Cardinal Kendall Small (2018) set four records at Wilmington this spring. I suppose it shouldn’t be surprising given that during his senior year, he hit 379/442/578, with 58 runs, 22 doubles, 6 home runs, 63 RBIs, 8 stolen bases, and a 25/23 BB/K ratio, annnnnnd he was named to the NCBWA All-Region 2nd team after the season.

Kendall set these school records: career hits, with 238, career RBIs, with 165, and hits and RBIs in a season, with 80 and 63.

Congratulations, Kendall! May they stand for a long, long time.
