It’s pretty amazing to me that the Valley League can draw players from the West Coast Conference. All the way across the country? Indeed.

And not only do the players come, but they are good players, too. Two former VBLers have been named All-Conference in the WCC:

  • Joe Vranesh, Saint Mary’s, 1st team OF (Waynesboro 2017): Joe hit 340/447/660 in 200 at-bats, with 51 runs, 16 doubles, 14 home runs, 53 RBIs, and a 24/38 BB/K ratio.
  • Trevin Esquerra, Loyola Marymount, 2nd team INF (Purcellville 2017): Trevin hit 321/373/627, with 17 doubles, 15 home runs, 53 RBIs, and a 16/61 BB/K ratio in 209 at-bats.
