The SAL all-star game, which will be played tomorrow in Charleston, West Virginia, will feature four former Valley Leaguers on the two rosters.

First of all, Michael Gigliotti (Covington 2015) is on the South squad. He’s having a great season for Lexington now that he’s back from an ACL tear in 2018. He’s hitting 309/394/411 in 236 at-bats, with 19 doubles and 29 stolen bases (and has only been caught 4 times).

Secondly, his teammate Jonathan Bowlan (New Market 2016) will be there. He’s 6-2, 3.36, with a 0.93 WHIP and 74 strikeouts in 69 2/3 innings pitched. He’s really bounced back from his rocky pro debut in 2018.

Thirdly, former Staunton Brave Thad Ward (2016) will pitch for the South. Thad has been awesome this season for Greenville- he’s 5-2, 1.99, with a 1.05 WHIP and 87 strikeouts in 72 1/3 innings pitched.

Last but not least, Jacob Rhinesmith (New Market 2017) will play in the outfield for the North. Jacob is hitting 302/388/409 in 242 at-bats, with 17 doubles and 3 triples.

Congrats to all four!
