Our hitter of the day is UMBC’s Christian Torres, who went 3-3 for Covington last night, along with a double and 3 RBIs. Torres is 21-51 this summer so far, with slash lines of 412/492/608… and he has a current 8-game hitting streak!

Pitcher of the Day

Harrisonburg’s Eli Ellington, from UNC-Charlotte, is the pitcher of the day from last night. Eli threw an impressive 4 shutout innings against Winchester, allowing only 1 hit and 2 walks, and he struck out 9 to earn a game score of 67. Ellington is 0-0, 0.69 in 13 innings so far this summer… with 26 strikeouts! He has a current 12 inning shutout streak, too.
