Two games were washed out, but three were played, including one that resulted in a rather football-like final score….

Results

  • New Market vs Covington PPD
  • Harrisonburg 9, Purcellville 6
  • Winchester 8, Charlottesville 5
  • Waynesboro 20, Woodstock 10

Hitter of the Day

It’s no surprise that the hitter of the day comes from this game, with 30 runs total scored, but perhaps it’s a surprise that the player comes from the losing side. At any rate, the hitter of the day is Woodstock’s Aidan Nagle, from Cuesta College, who went 4-6, with a run, double, home run, and 3 RBIs. A signee of Lewis-Clark State, Nagle is now hitting 459/535/689 in 61 summer at-bats, along with a current 15-game hitting streak! (Yes, he has a hit in every game he’s played so far.)
