On the strength of two outstanding starts on the mound for the Harrisonburg Turks, the USA Signs Player of the Week is Eastern Kentucky’s Jacob Ferris.
From Richmond, Kentucky, the sophomore righthander threw 14 2/3 innings last week, while allowing ten hits, one walk, and only one earned run while striking out 16 batters. He won both games as well, the first against Front Royal and the second against Waynesboro.
For the entire season, Ferris is 3-0, 0.67, with 20 hits, 3 walks, and 29 strikeouts in 26 2/3 innings pitched.
