Mostly a dry day in the Valley, so all five games were played. We saw some good pitching, some timely hitting, a walk-off walk, and a walk-off bomb in the 11th inning.
Results
- Charlottesville 4, Covington 3
- Front Royal 9, Woodstock 2

Hitter of the Day
The hitter of the day is the only batter with four hits and a walk-off home run- that would be Purcellville’s Jacob Stanley, from Chipola. Jacob went 4-6, with two runs, and the aforementioned walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning against Strasburg, pulling the Cannons a game closer in the division race (to 7.5 games). Stanley is now hitting 242/356/548 in 62 at-bats this summer, and he’s in shouting distance of the league lead in home runs, with six.
