The news is a little bit old, but former Valley Leaguer Tad Ratliff (Charlottesville 2015) was named a Carolina League all-star earlier this minor league season.
Signed as a free agent in 2017, Ratliff has gone 3-2, 2.72, with 23 saves, a 1.19 WHIP, and 48 strikeouts in 46 1/3 innings for Wilmington. He will be in the running for A-Level pitcher of the year I think…
