Our eighth best hitter in the 2019 Valley League season, Coastal Carolina’s Bradley Riopelle, didn’t arrive in Purcellville until June 15th, but despite the two missed weeks, hit enough to vault up this list as one of the best hitters of the summer.

The rising sophomore finished the season fifth in OPS, sixth in on-base percentage, fourth in slugging percentage, eighth in walks, and tied for fourth in triples. He was not selected as an All-Star, but because of the power he very evidently has, competed in the home run derby during the rainy festivities.

His best game was on July 5th, at Front Royal, when he went 2-4, with a run, home run, five RBIs, and a walk. He was named the Valley League Player of the Week the very next day. He also ended his season on an eight-game hitting streak.

He didn’t get to play too much at Coastal in the spring of ’19, but expect this to change for 2020:
