D1baseball.com has their very own Top 350 college players list (subscription only), so, of course, ATVL spent some time combing the list looking for any former Valley Leaguers. There are four:

  • #44- Christian McGowan, Eastern Oklahoma State (Strasburg 2019). Some publications have McGowan as the top-rated JUCO player, so this position is not surprising. The 6-foot-3 righthander is holding up his end of the bargain so far, as he’s 2-0, 2.14, with 38 K’s in 21 innings pitched so far in 2021 (through Wednesday).
  • #112- Oraj Anu, Kentucky (New Market 2018). Anu has incredible athleticism, but currently does not have a positional home. But he can rake! He’s currently hitting .286/.333/.500 with three home runs in 56 at-bats for the Wildcats this season. (And check out an epic bat flip below)
  • #173 Mason Studstill, Florida Gulf Coast (Harrisonburg 2017). The preseason Atlantic Sun Pitcher of the Year, the six-foot-two righty has been incredible so far in 2021, going 2-0, 0.99, with a 0.95 WHIP, and 27 K’s in 27 1/3 innings pitched.
  • #326 Bryson Worrell, East Carolina (Waynesboro 2019). The junior outfielder is off to a bit of a slow start, slashing .210/.319/.274 in 62 at-bats so far for the Pirates.
