Continuing on with d1baseball’s power rankings by position, today we have first basemen. The Valley League only has one former player on the list of 30, but it’s Wes Clarke (Waynesboro 2019), and he’s ranked at the very top.

It makes sense, too, as he’s hitting .333/.482/.841 in 63 at-bats for South Carolina, with two doubles, ten home runs, and 19 walks. He moved up from a previous rank of #6.

Clarke is starting to get more buzz; Baseball America now ranks him at #126 on its Top 300 Draft Prospect list, after having him unranked at the beginning of the season.

Keep it up!
