Andrew Czech, one of the best hitters in the Valley League in 2019, is off to an excellent start for Division-II Walsh this spring.

A 6-foot-6 redshirt senior, Czech is hitting .300/.533/.580 in 16 games and 50 at-bats. He’s added two doubles, four home runs, 16 runs scored and 16 RBIs, and has an amazing 25 walks against only 10 strikeouts. He leads his team in runs (tied), home runs, walks, and on-base percentage.

He was similarly amazing for Staunton in 2019, ending the season at .344/.453/.611 in 157 at-bats, with 15 doubles, nine home runs, 47 RBIs (in only 40 games!), and 30 walks. ATVL named him the 3rd best hitter in the league. Oh- and he also went 5-8 with four runs and five RBIs in two playoff games.

He’s won all kinds of awards in college, too- click on the link just above to read about them.
