While perusing some boxscores over the weekend, I happened upon Western Carolina’s Luke Robinson, who is off to a great start for the Catamounts.

Back as 5th-year senior, Robinson is hitting .403/.482/.731 in 17 games and 67 at-bats, with 22 runs scored, 20 RBIs, seven doubles, and five home runs. He’s been hit by a pitch seven times, and has a 6/11 BB/K ratio. WCU is off to a 13-4 start, in no large part because of Robinson’s (and others) hitting. Robinson leads his team in slugging, and is tied for the lead in both doubles and home runs.

He played for Waynesboro in 2017, when he hit .279/.404/.395 in 86 at-bats, with two doubles, a triple, two home runs, and 13 RBIs. He moved to Winchester for the next summer, but only stayed a short while. He went 3-14.

Congratulations, and keep it up!
