Former Valley League MVP Andrew Eyster (New Market 2018) has been honored as the SEC Co-Player of the Week!

Eyster went 8-12 last weekend, with four runs, nine RBIs, and four walks. He had a grand slam on Saturday, and drove in four more runs on Sunday. For the season, he’s now hitting .285/.385/.505 in 186 at-bats, with 28 runs scored, nine doubles, a triple, 10 home runs, 40 RBIs, 12 hit-by-pitches, and a 20/63 BB/K ratio. He leads the Gamecocks in batting average.

Back in 2018, Eyster was the league MVP and #1 hitter after hitting .421/.511/.781 in 114 at-bats for New Market, with 32 runs scored, 35 RBIs, 14 doubles, nine home runs, and a 18/21 BB/K ratio. Then he went 10-29 with four doubles and two home runs in the playoffs to push the team to a VBL title.
