Hitter of the Day

For the second time this season, the hitter of the day is Winchester’s Austin Bulman, from Rice! Bulman went 4-5 Wednesday night, with three runs scored, an RBI, and a home run. He’s now hitting .400/.418/.760 in 50 at-bats this summer, with three doubles, five home runs, and 21 RBIs. He was the HOD on June 13th as well.

Pitcher of the Day

Our POD is Strasburg’s Daniel Ouderkirk, from West Virginia, who fired four shutout innings in his start against Purcellville, with two hits, no walks, and six strikeouts. He did not go far enough to get the win, but he earned a game score of 64, the highest on the day. After three starts this summer, he’s 0-0, 0.93, with a whopping 17 strikeouts in 9 2/3 innings.
