Hitter of the Day

For the second time this summer, our hitter of the day is Strasburg’s Brayton Brown, from Auburn! Brown went 3-4, with three runs scored, a walk, stolen base, two home runs, and five RBIs to lead the Express over New Market. Brown is now hitting .389/.485/.741 in 54 at-bats, with 16 runs, four doubles, five home runs, and 18 RBIs. He was the HOD on June 15th as well.

The Pitcher of the Day is Woodstock’s Anthony Arguelles, from Miami, who threw six shutout innings in game one against Winchester. He allowed three hits, walked three, and struck out eight to earn the win and game score of 71. It was his second start of the year; he’s 2-0, 0.75, with eight hits and 15 strikeouts in 12 innings.
