Our 14th best reliever is Woodstock’s Ethan Campos, from Grayson College. The 6-foot-2 freshman righthander went 0-1, 2.54 for the River Bandits, with a .242 BAA, 1.243 WHIP, 3.1 BB/9, and 14.7 K/9 in 17 2/3 innings pitched. Out of all pitchers surveyed for this list, he finished eighth in BB/9 and tied for fourth in K/9.
His best game was on July 19 at Purcellville, when he blasted through four shutout innings, allowing five hits, no walks, and striking out seven (it was actually his only start of the season).
He needed the innings, because he appeared in only one game as a freshman for the Vikings. Watch for an uptick this spring!
