The fifth best reliever in the 2021 Valley League season is Charlottesville’s Angelo Cabral!

Cabral, a 6-foot-3 righthander from Keller, Texas, went 3-0, 0.69 in 13 innings last summer, with a .208 BAA, 1.077 WHIP, 2.8 BB/9, and 12.5 K/9. He finished second in ERA, sixth in BB/9, seventh in WHIP, and ninth in K/9 among pitchers on this list. He best game was on July 10 at New Market, when he fired four shutout innings, allowing four hits, no walks, and striking out four. He did not give up an earned run in his first ten innings for Charlottesville, and, interestingly, the team won all six regular season games he appeared in.

In 2021, Cabral attended North Central Texas College, a Junior College in Region 5, where he went 0-7, 6.75, with 18 walks and 35 K’s in 29 1/3 innings pitched. He has transferred to Texas Rio Grande Valley for his sophomore season.
