UAB hosted Northwestern in an interesting four game series last weekend, and started off its 2022 schedule by winning all four by a composite score of 33-17.
But not only did the team win all four, but former Covington Lumberjack Christian Hall (2021) led the way by going 6-10 on the weekend, with five runs scored, a double, two triples, a home run, and six RBIs. He’s slashing a ridiculous .600/.615/1.400 (small sample size, of course, but wow).
Hall is a transfer from UT-Martin, where he hit .271/.376/.482 in 170 at-bats in 2021, with nine doubles and nine home runs. He was also solid for the ‘Jacks last summer, hitting .270/.363/.438 in 89 at-bats, with six doubles, three home runs, and 19 RBIs (in 26 games).
As a side note, former Strasburg Express Dalton Skinner (2021) is Hall’s teammate at UAB, and he’s fired a shutout inning so far this spring.
