Now that we’re about a third of the way through the college baseball season, D1baseball.com has released its power rankings at each position. I am rather pleased at how many former Valley Leaguers are performing well, so let’s tackle it bit by bit. Today we’ll look at the catchers and first basemen who made the lists- seven of them in all, along with their stats through Sunday’s games.
Catchers
- #8- Cooper Ingle, Clemson (Charlottesville 2021): .392/.507/.569 in 102 at-bats, with 29 runs, six doubles, four home runs, 24 RBIs, and silly 26/13 BB/K
- #18- Alonzo Rubalcaba, Kentucky (Waynesboro 2021): .264/.363/.437 in 87 at-bats, with four doubles, a triple, three home runs, 25 RBIs, and 14/22 BB/K
- #19- BT Riopelle, Florida (Purcellville 2019): .318/.388/.545 in 88 at-bats, with two doubles, six home runs, and 17 RBIs
First Basemen
