Another day, another honor for a former Valley Leaguer!
Today, it’s former New Market player Joshua Cox, who was named the Summit League Player of the Week.

• Went 5-for-7 in two starts during a series sweep of WIU that put ORU alone in first place in the league standings
• Posted a season-highs with four hits, three runs and three RBI in game-two victory
• Drove in two runs and scored twice, including game-winner in 9-8 win over Missouri State
• Captured his first weekly award of the season and second of his career
For the season so far, Cox is hitting .324/.365/.438 in 105 at-bats, with 17 runs scored, six doubles, two home runs, 19 RBIs, and eight stolen bases in eight attempts.
For New Market in 2019, Cox fell in the #21-25 top hitter range after slashing .323/.373/.426 in 155 t-bats, with five doubles, four triples, a home run, 11/36 BB/K ratio, and 24 stolen bases.
