Hitter of the Day

Dylan Ingram Shelton StateSeven players had at least 3 hits, but only one had four: Strasburg’s Dylan Ingram! Dylan went 4-5, with a run, 3 RBIs, and a double. The Auburn transfer (from Shelton State CC) is now a cool 10-20 in the 2016 Valley League season. In 2016 at Shelton State, he hit 411/483/643 in 168 at-bats.

Making his debut in the Valley League, our pitcher of the day is Charlottesville’s Wil Hartsell, from CharlestonWil Hartsell Charleston Southern Southern! Wil threw 8 shutout innings and allowed only 1 hit, 1 walk, and struck out 8. His game score of 87 is the highest in the VBL so far in 2016. At Charleston Southern, Wil redshirted in 2016 due to an injury, but went 2-0, 2.37 out of the bullpen in 2015.
