Hitter of the Day

Oraj Anu Wallace CC 2018The best hitter from last night is New Market’s Oraj Anu, from Wallace, who has been a top hitter all season long. In New Market’s 2nd game last night, Oraj went 3-4, with 2 runs, 4 RBIs, a double, and a home run. He finished the regular season with a 358/424/634 slash line in 123 at-bats. He’s 8 for his last 12, and 11 for his last 21. He’ll be one of the top hitters of the league- series of posts to begin shortly after the playoffs end.

Several excellent performances last night, but the best one was turned in by Evan Richardson Bard 2018Winchester’s Evan Richardson, from Bard, who threw 7 shutout innings against Strasburg, allowing 2 hits, 1 walk, and striking out 5. He earned the win and a game score of 77. He finished the regular season 4-2, 4.32, with 33 K’s in 41 2/3 innings pitched.
