Hitter of the Day

Today it’s Rider’s Riley Mihalik (Covington 2016-17), who went 3-4, with 2 runs, 3 RBIs, a walk, and a home run. He raised his slash line for the season to an excellent 342/409/620 with the performance… along with 4 doubles, 6 home runs, 18 RBIs, and a 9/22 BB/K ratio. He leads Rider in batting average, slugging percentage, runs (17), hits (27), home runs, and RBIs. Riley was named a MAAC preseason All-Conference player… he seems to be well on his way to be postseason All-Conference too.

It’s yet another excellent start for East Tennessee State’s Daniel Sweeney (New Market 2018). In 6 innings, he allowed 6 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks, and struck out 7 to win his fourth game against zero defeats. In 35 2/3 innings this year so far, Daniel is 4-0, 2.27, with a 0.896 WHIP, 1.0 BB/9, and 7.8 K/9.
