Yesterday, New Orleans defeated Southern, 9-6, but the big story was the former Valley League player who pitched the ninth for the Privateers- Reeves Martin.
Martin, who pitched for New Market in 2018, threw a shutout inning, earning his 7th save of the season, and setting the New Orleans school record for career saves with 19.
Reeves has been lights-out so far this NCAA season- he’s 3-0, 0.66, with those 7 saves, 0.730 WHIP, 2.6 BB/9, and 14.4 K/9 in 13 2/3 innings.
Congratulations, Reeves!
