Two former Charlottesville Tom Sox are performing exceedingly well this college season.

After a 4-6, 2-home run and 5-RBI performance yesterday for George Washington, former Tom Sox (2018) Dom D’Alessandro is hitting a cool 421/477/611 in 95 at-bats, with 21 runs, 28 RBIs, 6 doubles, 4 home runs, and a solid 10/19 BB/K ratio. He leads the team in batting average, hits, and home runs. The senior was also the 15th best hitter in the 2018 VBL season.

A Tom Sox in 2017, VCU’s Connor Gillispie started for the Rams yesterday, and threw 4 shutout, no-hit innings. He didn’t walk anyone, either, and struck out 7. His stats so far are off the charts: He’s 1-0, 1.64, with a 0.818 WHIP, 2.5 BB/9, and 12.0 K/9 in 33 innings pitched (in 9 starts). He leads the Rams in earned run average and strikeouts (44).

Keep it up, guys!
