Spotlight on Inman, Miller

Let’s take a look at two former Valley Leaguers who played very well in college ball yesterday…

  • Richmond’s Tim Miller (Charlottesville 2018) threw 8 outstanding innings against Rhode Island. He allowed 4 hits, 1 earned run, walked zero, and struck out 8. He didn’t get run support, so he didn’t get a win… indeed, Richmond lost the game. Tim is now 2-1, 3.43, with a 1.144 WHIP, 3.2 BB/9, and 8.8 K/9 in 36 2/3 innings pitched.
  • West Virginia’s Marques Inman (Purcellville 2016) went 4-5 against Oregon State with a run, 2 doubles, and 4 RBIs. He’s now hitting 266/352/489 in 94 at-bats, with 4 doubles, a triple, and 5 home runs.

Others to Note

  • Hunter Wolfe, Dayton (Strasburg 2017) threw 6 shutout innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 walk, and striking out 10
  • Connor Gillispie, VCU (Charlottesville 2017) struck out 8 batters in 4 innings
  • Dylan Burns, South Florida (Waynesboro 2016) threw 6 innings in relief, allowing 4 hits, 1 earned run, 4 walks, and struck out 4.
  • Kyle Ouellette, Memphis (Purcellville 2017), went 3-3, with a walk and home run
  • Brant Blaylock, Southern Miss (New Market 2018), went 3-5, with run, 4 RBIs, and double
