Gigliotti Off to Excellent Start

Michael Gigliotti Lexington headshot 2019The minor league season started about ten days ago, which means there is a whole new pool of players to check on and update you about, Brilliant Reader!

On that note, former Covington Lumberjack (2015) Michael Gigliotti is off to a roaring start for Low-A Lexington in the South Atlantic League. After 9 games and 34 at-bats, Michael is hitting 353/476/559, with 10 runs, 7 doubles, 3 RBIs, a solid 6/8 BB/K ratio, and probably the best sign, has stolen 5 bases without being caught.

The reason the stolen bases are a good sign is that Michael is getting his first game experience since he tore up his knee after only six games in the 2018 minor league season. He rehabbed for the rest of ’18, and is back now, obviously.

Michael was drafted in the 4th round of the 2017 draft…. well, if you would like to read more about Mr. Gigliotti, you can order the 2015 Valley League Annual, in which he is discussed further.
