Two former Valley Leaguers, both from LSU-Shreveport, have been named to the Red River Athletic Conference’s end of season All-Conference team.
First of all, Payton Robertson (Staunton 2017), a transfer from Lamar, has been named both first team All-Conference at third base and Player of the Year. Through May 7th, Payton has hit 404/457/601, with 54 runs, 15 doubles, 3 triples, 6 home runs, 45 RBIs, an even 23/23 BB/K ratio, and has also stolen 32 bases.
Secondly, Beaux Guilbeau (Purcellville 2017) has been named first team All-Conference at catcher for the third season in a row. Beaux, an unusual 6th-year senior, has hit 310/431/552, with 30 runs, 12 doubles, 10 home runs, and a 29/27 BB/K ratio. He was also named the Gold Glove winner at his position.
The Pilots begin the opening round of the NAIA National Championship on Monday- today!
