Fucci Hits for Cycle in Southern Tournament

Nothing like performing when the pressure is on.

In Samford’s second round game of the Southern Tournament against Mercer Thursday, former Staunton Brave Jordan Fucci (2016) hit for the cycle, going 4-5, with 3 runs, 2 RBIs, and, of course, a single, double, triple, and home run.

First seeded Samford won the game, unsurprisingly, 11-0, and moved to the semifinals of the double elimination tournament. Samford plays Wofford at noon EST today.

Fucci has had an excellent junior season, and he’s now hitting 306/387/593, with 49 runs, 13 doubles, 2 triples, 15 home runs, and 49 RBIs.
