Two former Valley Leaguers have been named to the All-World Team by the World Baseball Softball Confederation after the Premier12 tournament finished on Sunday, November 17.
- Brandon Dickson (New Market 2006) was named to the team at relief pitcher, after saving three games and striking out at least two batters in each of his five appearances. Dickson has been pitching in Japan since 2013, and last appeared in the major leagues with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2012.
- Long time ATVL friend Erik Kratz (Waynesboro 2000, Harrisonburg 2001) was named to the team at catcher. Kratz, who is always so generous with his time, hit .381 with two home runs while shepherding Team USA’s pitching staff. He appeared in the majors with the San Francisco Giants and Seattle Mariners in 2019, and finished the season in the New York Yankees’ minor league system. He’s currently a free agent.
Congratulations to both!
