Wow, it seems the world (or MY world, anyway) has changed quite a bit in the last 24 hours.
I’ll distract myself by posting on the #6-10 hitters from the 2019 VBL summer season- how are they doing right now??
6. Logan Amiss, VCU (Covington): In nine games, Amiss is 6-29 at the plate. He is signed to return to the Valley in 2020, only with the Charlottesville Tom Sox.
7. Thomas Francisco, East Carolina (Charlottesville): Francisco was off to a scorching start in February, but he hasn’t played in March yet (sprained knee). In 26 at-bats, he’s hitting .423/.515/.538 with one home run.
8. Bradley Riopelle, Coastal Carolina (Purcellville): In 12 games and 39 at-bats, Riopelle is hitting .282/.378/.692, with two doubles, a triple, and four home runs.
9. Christian Torres, UMBC (Covington): In 13 games and 48 at-bats, Torres is hitting .271/.357/.542, with six doubles, two triples, a home run, and 10 RBIs.
10. Tyler Johnson, Eastern Oklahoma State (Strasburg): Johnson has continued to rake, putting up a .344/.506/.781 slash line in 64 at-bats, with 24 runs scored, 22 RBIs, six doubles, two triples, six home runs, and an excellent 18/16 BB/K ratio.
