D1baseball.com updates a “power ranking” by position every few weeks of the college baseball season, and four former Valley Leaguers have been named to the outfield list! (Stats through Thursday, April 1)

They are:

  • #60- Thomas Francisco, East Carolina (Charlottesville 2019): Francisco was one of the top hitters of the 2019 season, and is hitting .354/.417/.479 in 96 at-bats, with 24 runs scored, three doubles, three home runs, and 16 RBIs in college this spring so far.
  • #71 Spencer Packard, Campbell (Front Royal 2018): A top hitter in 2018, Packard is now hitting .389/.538/.759 in 54 at-bats, with 13 runs scored, eight doubles, four home runs, 21 RBIs, and a silly 18 walks against only six strikeouts.
  • #75 Jonny Butler, NC State (Winchester 2018): Butler is hitting .313/.429/.500 in 48 at-bats, with 15 runs, three home runs, 12 RBIs, and six stolen bases.
  • #77 Ethan Cady, East Tennessee State (Waynesboro 2019): Cady is hitting .368/.461/.828 (!) in 87 at-bats, with eight doubles, a triple, ten home runs, 31 RBIs, a 13/16 BB/K ratio, and three stolen bases.
