The 13th best reliever in the 2021 Valley League season is Woodstock’s Jamar Fairweather!
Our second River Bandit already on this list (and not the last, either), the sophomore from Miami went 1-0, 1.92 in 14 total innings, with a .235 BAA, 1.214 WHIP, 3.2 BB/9, and 10.3 K/9. Of pitchers on this list, he finished eighth in ERA and tenth in BB/9. His season was even more impressive considering that he didn’t pitch as a senior in high school, and only logged 2 1/3 innings as a freshman for the Hurricanes.
His best outing was on July 8th at New Market, when he threw five shutout, one-hit innings, allowing three walks and striking out six.
