Collegiate Baseball has released its preseason All-American teams, and one former Valley Leaguer has made the list: Duke’s RJ Schreck, who played for Harrisonburg in 2019.
Schreck, a senior outfielder, came to the Turks after his freshman year at Duke, in which he hit .182/.284/.260 in 77 at-bats. He hit .217/.325/.304 in 69 at-bats during the summer, with two home runs, five RBIs, and nine walks against 13 strikeouts.
After the shortened 2020 season, Schreck exploded in 2021, hammering the ball to the tune of .337/.435/.635 in 208 at-bats, with eight doubles, 18 home runs, 52 RBIs, and 27/43 BB/K. He was named All-ACC Third Team, ABCA All-Atlantic Second Team, and All-Region in the NCAA Knoxville Regional.
ATVL will be tracking his spring season, starting soon!
